The Solar Energy Materials and Systems Group (SEMS) announce a postdoctoral position for the development of activities that have to be developed in the next months to solve an accumulation of work in the workplan of different projects in the group  in the research line of:

Development and advanced characterization of chalcogenide advanced solar cells

The activities to be developed by the candidate include: i) development of advanced annealing processes under S ambient for the synthesis of kesterite based absorbers with wider bandgap, in the frame of the IGNITE research project; ii) test and assessment of kesterite devices for the development of first IBC-Si/kesterite tandem prototypes, in the frame of the IGNITE project; iii) advanced electrical, optical and electro-optical characterization (including advanced assessment of vibrational properties of wide band gap chalcogenides using Raman scattering) of wide band gap absorbers developed in the frame of the INFINITE-CELL project. This will also involve the realization of a one month stay at a collaborative laboratory abroad.

Requisites: the candidates need to be in position of the doctoral degree in Physic, Chemistry, Electronic Engineering, Materials Engineering or equivalent, before the incorporation date. Previous experience in the advanced characterization of chalcogenide based materials and devices for PV applications – including a strong background and knowledge in optical techniques as Raman scattering - will be very well evaluated.
