The group of Solar Energy Materials and Systems (SEMS) from the area of Advanced Materials for Energy announces a postdoctoral position for a highly motivated candidate to work in the field of:

HIGH EFFICIENCY KESTERITE DEVICES

STARCELL project aims to develop earth abundant elements based thin film photovoltaic technologies. The candidate will carry out a multidisciplinary activity in the frame of this H2020 Project with the final aim to develop specific processes for high efficiency kesterite based solar cells.

Requirements: Candidates must hold/have a PhD degree in Materials Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or equivalent, and demonstrate previous strong experience in research activities in the field of thin film chalcogenide based devices (Cu(In,Ga)Se2 and Cu2ZnSn(S,Se)4). Specifically a strong background and know-how in the deposition of CdS and Cd-free layers by chemical bath deposition, and its application as buffer layers in thin film chalcogenide technologies is required. Good level of English and very good communication and writing skills are required.
