Position: Laboratory Technician (Chemistry profile)

The Nanomaterials group announces a position as a laboratory technician.

Job function:

– Laboratory maintenance, reposition and control of consumables and equipment.
– Document and database management. Elaboration of “Standard Operating Procedures”
– Support the right performance of security systems, and Health and Safety.
– Support managing gas system, cryogenics and deionized water system.
– To support and participate in the technical coordination committee of the area made by laboratory technicians.
– Maintenance and calibration of main equipments
– Implementation of new setups, prototypes and equipment. Give technical support to the experimental setups especially for new researchers.
– Assistance and managing internal and external users of laboratory infrastructure. Functional testing and results reporting.

Candidate must have formation in Chemistry or alternatively in Material Science, Physics, Instrumentation or equivalent.
Previous documented experience in managing laboratory services in the Fields of electricity and electronics or energy or chemical or mechanical manufacture (gas , deionized water, cryogenics, resource management and storage of chemicals, waste management,...) and in management of security systems in laboratories as well as in laboratory resources organization. Theoretical and practical knowledge on Chemical Characterization techniques and related ones plus computer and electronics knowledge will be appreciated. It also considered the ability to design and implement new add-ons needed for experimental set-ups.

Salary:

Salaries will be in accordance with the IREC’s salary policy, depending on the candidate’s qualification and professional experience.
