Ph.D. Student Position in Energy Systems Analytics

The Group Leader of Energy Systems Analytics is seeking a PhD student to work on a Project devoted to the development of new energy market agents management optimization tools.

Description:
The PhD thesis is framed in one of the outstanding challenges nowadays at energy markets, the aggregator concept and its interaction with the energy markets. The main objectives of the PhD thesis is the implementation and testing of an aggregator tool able to manage its clients and to optimally bid to the markets the flexibility obtained. The tool should be design following different European energy market regulations and it should be flexible to adapt to different potential scenarios. This kind of tool is becoming necessary for the agents that want to start this activity in the different countries where this kind of activity is already regulated.

Requirements: Ph.D. student who is highly motivated to learn, work in a team, high flexibility and initiative and ability to innovate. Bachelor and master on Engineer / Maths / Statistics or similar is required. Experience in energy markets, flexibility integration and machine learning techniques will be positively evaluated. Fluent English is mandatory.

We offer: Three years Ph.D student contract.

Incorporation: The candidates should be available before June 2019.
