TITLE: R1 Research Engineer on future distribution network

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Power Systems Group announces a new opening as Research Engineer to work on different research project in the field of future distribution networks. The tasks to be carried out will be focused to the development of the tools for fault location, operation and resilience of electrical networks. Such analysis will include design and validation of tools for the electrical networks with renewable energy sources, batteries, among other technologies.

Qualifications and experience required:
Essential:
- Bachelor or Master in electrical engineering.
- Experience in work in international environment.
- Experience in work in collaborative projects.
- Experience in fault detection and location.

Preferred:
• Interest in developing a PhD thesis or already enrolled into the programme.
• Experience in working in/with network operators

Language required:
Fluent in English. Spanish desirable

What we offer:
We offer fix-term position, with potential extension. Salaries will be paid in accordance with the IREC’s salary policy, depending on the candidate’s qualification and professional experience.
