Researcher in Energy Devices for IoT

The Group Leader of Nanoionics and Fuel Cells is seeking a researcher to work in a Catalan project (“Emergents” call) devoted to the development of breakthrough concepts for energy harvesting and storage.

Description: We are interested in a researcher with experience in materials science, especially in thermoelectrics and/or solid state batteries. The role of the researcher in the project will consist on the development and characterization of new devices for thermoelectric energy harvesting and storage in solid state thin film batteries and their integration in microelectronics technology. Deep knowledge in Materials Science and Electrochemistry is required.

Requirements: Professional who is highly skilled in planning and organizing. We look for people with capacity to work in a team, high flexibility and initiative and ability to innovate.
Degree in Materials Science/ Chemistry/ Physics/ Electrochemistry or similar is required. Experience in materials for energy (especially in thermoelectrics or solid state Li-ion batteries), electrochemical characterization and micro-fabrication is desirable.
Fluent English is mandatory.

We offer: A Project contract, stimated duration 36 month. Joining a team of highly qualified and motivated researchers working in the frontiers of knowledge in science and technology.

A salary commensurate with the characteristics of the candidate

Incorporation: The candidates should be available for starting before February 2020

Workplace: Barcelona (IREC facilities)
