Call for applications: research support technician

The Energy Storage group of IREC, announces a position as a research support technician to give support to the research project “Chalcogenide based photocathodes for Energy Storage Applications ENE2016-80788-C5-5R” funded by MINECO and FEDER.

The candidate will give support to the synthesis of solar photoelectrodes and their implementation on photoreactors for solar fuels and redox flow solar reachargeble devices, on thin film light absorbers in collaboration with the partners of WINCOST project. The candidate will be involved in the synthesis of thin film passivation layers, immobilization of electrocatalysts, as well as their photoelectrochemical characterization and encapsulation in full devices.
Requisites: the candidates must have a Bachellor or Doctorate degree in Chemistry, Physics, Material Science or equivalent. Previous experience in laboratory techniques, work in scientific or technological environment will be considered.  Good verbal and written communication skills in English are required. Previous experience in ALD synthesis, electrochemical, electrical and photoelectrochemical characterization will be positively evaluated.

Salaries will be paid in accordance with the IREC’s salary policy, depending on the candidate’s qualification and professional experience.
