Temporary  PostDoc position in the field of energy Analitics:

Post Doc position is offered to work on technical research projects in the field of energy analytics, for substitution of Group Leader of Energy Economics during her maternity process and subsequent days for the transfer of functions. The tasks to be carried out will be mainly focused to modeling and optimization of complex energy systems for smart grids and micro grids. Complementary, research activities in the field of renewables, energy storage and electric mobility applications will also be carried out .

This professional must be highly skilled in research projects including experimental simulation and validation. Capacity to work in a team, flexible, innovative, with initiative and problem solving skills. High level of analytical and synthesis skills.

The professional is expected to lead research projects (competitive and industrial) in the field of energy analytics with special focus on micro grids and smart grids. Publication of high-level articles required.

Qualifications and experience required:

Essential:
PhD in industrial engineering, statistics and operational research or similar. Experience in modeling and optimization of complex systems, in particular for energy applications. Programing, simulation and optimization software capabilities (Phyton, C/C++, Matlab, R, SCIP, CPLEX or equivalent)

Preferred:
Experience in the energy sector and, in particular, in modeling and optimization of micro grids and smart grids systems. Additional experience in renewables, electric vehicle and energy storage grid integration applications.. Experience in international research collaborative projects and the execution of third party projects is desired. The candidate should have at least 3 months experience in research center or university different to the university where he has obtained his PhD. JCR Journal publications.

Language required:
Fluent in Spanish and English.

Contract and Salary:

Temporary contract. Salaries will be paid in accordance with the IREC’s salary policy, depending on the candidate’s qualification and professional experience.
