Dr. Joan Ramón Morante is organizing the workshop "Energy Harvesting Technologies: A General Overview"

The seminar is organized by and receives the support of the Reference Network on Advanced Energy Materials (Xarxa de Referència en Materials Avançats per a l’Energia – XARMAE) and the Catalonia Institute for Energy Research (IREC).

The head of technology and research in Advanced Materials for Applications in Energy, Dr. Joan Ramón Morante, directs the organization of a seminar designed to lend an overview of energy harvesting technologies.

Specialists such as Dr. Peter Harrop (Chairman of IDTechEX Ltd), Dr. Rob van Schaijk (Director of the Micropower Program, IMEC Netherlands), Joan Arnó (Nibblewave Electronics SL, member of the EnOcean Alliance, Spain) and Dr. Dirk Ebling (Fraunhofer Institute für Physikalische Messtechnik, Germany) will provide a general overview of the state of energy harvesting technologies, placing particular emphasis on solutions currently available on the market; this seminar will allow research groups and the industry to connect, facilitating future synergies.

The seminar will take place on November 4, from 9:15 am to 1:00 pm, at Hotel Catalonia Ramblas (carrer Pelai 28, Barcelona). Further information on the seminar is available at the website www.xarmae.org
