Science Week 2018: "Print your Energy" at the IREC

In the framework of the 23rd Science Week, an initiative dedicated to the dissemination of science, the IREC will organize next November 9th at 10h a workshop led by Dr. Marc Torrell and Dr. Marc Nuñez, both of them researchers of the Nanoionics and Fuel Cells group, will bring the research developed in the IREC laboratories through 3D Printing closer to the society.

3D Printing is mainly known for its application in plastics, but it has already reached the metallic materials and ceramic materials. The IREC researchers, focused on this research, coordinate different projects where this technology is applied to manufacture devices such as fuel cells, sensors or catalytic reactors, printing different functional ceramic materials.

The participants can use 3D printers based on different technologies and visit the hybrid printer developed during the project. Also, the researches lines will be explained and the most outstanding results.

Fun and interesting experiences coming soon.

Come to join us how 3D printers work when ceramic materials are applied, and see the applied technologies and the results of the research that we do into the IREC.

The workshop is free, but registration should be made at the following link (limited places according to the room's capacity).

We look forward to seeing you at the IREC next November 9th, 2018 at 10h. You can't miss it!
