The Xarmae and the IREC organise the workshop "Challenges for New Energy Sources: Storage of Renewable Energy and Materials for Nuclear Fusion”"

IrecThe workshop was attended by leading international specialists in nuclear fusion and energy storage from industry, universities and research centres. They provided an overview of the materials for nuclear fusion, with special emphasis placed on the ITER (*) project.

(*) ITER will be the world’s largest experimental centre for the development of fusion energies. It has been designed to demonstrate
the scientific and technological viability of fusion energy. ITER is an international strategic collaboration project of the highest order. The ultimate purpose of research into fusion is to harness an unlimited, safe and environmentally friendly source of energy.
