The Solar Energy Materials and Systems Group (SEMS) announce a postdoctoral position in the frame of the DURACIS Project, in the research line of:

ADVANCED PROCESSES AND CHARACTERIZATION FOR FLEXIBLE PHOTOVOLTAIC CHALCOGENIDE TECHNOLOGIES

The candidate will carry out a multidisciplinary scientific activity centered in the advanced evaluation and characterization of flexible photovoltaic devices based on chalcogenides, with the aim to develop specific encapsulation solutions, with high stability and low cost, responding to the necessity of these devices for flexible photovoltaic applications.

The candidate will work in the frame of DURACIS project in the electro-optic characterization of advanced thin film devices onto flexible substrates, analyzing the different encapsulation solutions proposed in the project, and studying the degradation mechanisms in these devices.

Requisites: the candidates need to be in position of the doctoral degree in Physic, Chemistry, Electronic Engineering, Materials Engineering or equivalent, before the incorporation date. Previous experience in thin film chalcogenide photovoltaic technologies, and especially in the synthesis, fabrication and advanced structural (Raman spect.) and electro-optic characterization (J-V, CV, spectral response) of chalcogenide solar cells, as well as in the fabrication and characterization of photovoltaic minimodules/modules will be very well evaluated.
