Biography

Teresa Andreu received her degree in Chemistry from the University of Barcelona in 1999. In 2000, she won a four years FI grant from the Generalitat de Catalunya to work in the Physical Chemistry Department of the Universitat de Barcelona doing her PhD formation, under the supervision of Dr. C.Müller and Dra.M.Sarret. In 2004 she received her PhD degree (Cum Laude, extraordinary award from UB) for the thesis entitled “Electrodeposition of ZnMn alloys using electrochemical techniques”. From 2004 to 2006, she worked in the R&D Department of MacDermid Inc. involved in plating on plastics and electroless deposition of nickel. In 2007, she joined the Electronics Department of the University of Barcelona where she was mainly focused on the synthesis of metal oxides using nanotemplates. Since October 2009 she is a researcher of IREC (Beatriu de Pinós grant, from the Generalitat de Catalunya) in the “Energy Storage and Energy Harvesting” group from the Advanced Materials for Energy Research Department. She is involved in photoreduction of CO2 (CENIT SOST-CO2 and CONSOLIDER MULTICAT projects), synthesis of mesoporous oxides (S3 FP7, CONSOLIDER MULTICAT projects) and electrochemical measurements (REDES 2025).
