Biography
Jesús M. Quintero received in 2007 the degree of specialist on Industrial Automation and Control from the National University of Colombia, (B.S.E.E. degree from the National University of Colombia in 1992 and Specialist degree in Informatics and Communications Technology from Los Andes University – Colombia in 2002). From 1992 to 2003 he served as Staff Engineer and Director of Engineering at a power electronics manufacturing and technology company. Since 2004, he has been at the National University of Colombia at Bogotá, where is presently senior lecturer of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, with appointments in the Light and Lighting program and in the Industrial Electrical Test Laboratory (LABE) of the National University of Colombia. He is in his second year of Ph.D. on Electrical Engineering studies at the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya in Barcelona, Spain and is Ph.D. Fellowship at the Institute for Energy Research of Catalonia (IREC). His research centers on high-power light-emitting diodes, luminescent materials and power quality.
