Biography

Laura Val obtained her degree in Technical Telecommunication Engineering on September 2006 at “Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya” (Barcelona, Spain). During her studies she has collaborate with the “Universidad de Zaragoza” in the Optical Communication Department, programming in C# a device to evaluate the parameters of the optical fibre. After that, she has continued her studies in Telecommunication Engineering at ‘Universitat Ramon Llull’ (Barcelona, Spain). Meanwhile she has participated in a study exchange in Paris, France, at ‘École National Supérieure des Télécommunications (Télécom Paris Tech)’ during one year. She speaks fluent English and French and also Spanish since it’s her mother tongue. From 2009 to 2011 she worked at the department of Innovation & Technology at the utility ENDESA (Barcelona, Spain) where she participated in R&D European projects, framed in the FP7, on the implementation of the electrical vehicle. She also participated in groups of standardization of EV communications (CEN/CENELEC) and their link to the SmartGrids. In 2011 and to the actuality, she enrolled “Catalonia Institute for Energy Research” (IREC, Barcelona).
