Biography
Ramon Gumara i Ferret completed his degree in Industrial Engineering at the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC), Barcelona, Spain, in 2009. During his two last years of the degree he combined the subjects related with electricity and power electronics with his tasks as junior engineer at the Center of Technological Innovation in Static Converters and Drives (CITCEA-UPC). There, the collaboration in some automation and mechatronics projects gave him the complementary knowledges for writing and building a prototype of his final thesis: “Design of an FPGA-based control system for piezoelectric actuators”. The experience acquired in this centre brought him to the Power Electronics and Electrical Grids research area of IREC, where he is nowadays involved in projects related with renewable power sources, smart grids, power storage and automation aimed to power efficiency.| 15/05/2012 Antoni Martínez, Director general de l'IREC, ha estat convidat a participar a “The European Economic Congress (EEC)” |
