Biography
Andreas Sumper was born in Villach, Austria and graduated as Dipl.-Ing. in Electrical Engineering at the Technical University of Graz, Austria, in 2000. From 2001 to 2002, he was project manager in innovation projects in private industry. In 2002, he joined the Center for Technological Innovation in Static Converters and Drives (CITCEA) at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (Spain), where he obtained a PhD in 2008. From 2006 to 2009 he has been assistant professor and since 2009 he has been lecturer in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the Escola Universitàaria d’Enginyeria Tècnica Industrial de Barcelona (EUETIB), Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. From 2009 on, he has also been part of the Catalonia Institute for Energy Research, IREC.
