Biography

David Lavèrnia i Ferrer received his Bachelor's degree in Industrial Electronics at the Technical University of Catalonia (UPC) and a Master's degree in Automatic Control and Industrial Electronics (UPC). On the framework of the latter, he studied at the Technical University of Denmark through a student exchange program. He received a scholarship to work on his Master thesis with the Advanced Control Systems (SAC) research group at the UPC.

Afterwards, he joined the group to follow his work on the Implementation, Modeling and Control of an Unmanned Helicopter under the supervision of Dr. Ricardo Sánchez-Peña. While working at the group, he studied the Master in Automatic Control and Robotics as a previous step towards the PhD.

He has been at IREC since February 2010 at the Electrical Engineering Area.
