Biography
Francisco Díaz González was born in Barcelona, Spain, in 1983. He received the Industrial Engineer degree on September 2009 at “Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya” (ETSEIB-UPC, Barcelona, Spain). During the studies, he worked on mechanical design projects and design of electric motors (in ABB Motors). In February 2009, he started his research activity through CITCEA (Technological Innovation Center on Static Converters and Drivers), developing a project about modeling and simulation of mechanical and electrical systems. In September 2009 he presented his final thesis called “Modeling and simulation of an industrial welding gun”.
Since September 2009 he is with the Catalonia Institute for Energy Research (IREC), where he is pursuing the PhD studies and working on energy renewable projects in electrical engineering area. His current research interest includes the fields linked with electrical machines, power electronics, and renewable energy integration in power systems.
