Aitor Romero obtained his bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering on June 2010 at “Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya” (UPC, Barcelona, Spain). He also obtained the same degree in France at “Institut National des Sciences Appliquées" (INSA, Lyon, France) by studying during two years in this institution. During this period (May to September 2008) he realized a 6-month internship in the M4 production unity of Schneider Electric – PMC (Grenoble, France) in the quality team. In Spain he did a 6-month internship, between September 2009 and March 2010, in the energy national regulator agency (NRA) “Comisión Nacional de la Energía” (CNE, Madrid, Spain) working for the European Affairs Directorate, mainly in the Regional Initiatives and the European Interior Market for gas and electricity projects. During this internship he worked on the European energetic integration process in collaboration with other National Regulator Agencies of other European countries, especially France and Portugal as belonging to the same Regional Initiative as Spain. 

 

Currently he works for the “Catalonia Institute for Energy Research” (IREC, Barcelona) since June 2010. He enrolled the Energy Economics Group on the Electric Grids and Power Electronic Area of this organisation.
