Biography
Xavier Fontané (Physical Degree 2006, Master in Nanoscience and Nanotecnology 2007) initiated his PhD thesis in the Department of Electronics of the University of Barcelona (2008-2009), working on the development of new technologies for high efficiency low cost solar cells based on chalcopyrite semiconductors. Part of this work was done in collaboration with different European research groups from France (IRDEP) and Germany (Helmholtz Zentrum Berlin, ZSW), in the framework of the European project LARCIS (Large Area CIS Based Solar Modules for Highly Productive Manufacturing). Since January 2010 he is attached as predoc research fellow to the Research Group on Solar Energy Materials and Systems in the Department of Advanced Materials for Energy of the Catalonia Institute for Energy Research (IREC). He is now involved in the project ATON (Investigation and development of energy generation new technologies based on thin film solar cells) from the Spanish CENIT program. He is co-author of 9 papers and has done different contributions in 8 national and international conferences.| 15/05/2012 Antoni Martínez, Director general de l'IREC, ha estat convidat a participar a “The European Economic Congress (EEC)” |
