Unlocking the potential of sustainable and solvent-free fabrication of electrodes for Li-ion battery cells (ULTRADRY)

ULTRADRY aims to bring a step-change improvement in the sustainability of battery production. This will be achieved by developing the fundamental knowledge needed to exploit the potential of dry processing of lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery electrodes, reducing the content of fluorine (F) in the binder and electrolyte. Dry processing has the potential to significantly improve the sustainability and reduce the energy consumption of battery manufacturing.
