This year, the 10th edition of the Positive Energy Buildings (PEB) course, formerly known as nearly zero energy buildings (nZEB) course, will be celebrated starting this October. The course is organized by the following institutions: Institut Català d’Energia (ICAEN), Institut de Recerca en Energia de Catalunya (IREC), Leitat, Eurecat, Centre Internacional de Mètodes Numèrics en Enginyeria (CIMNE) and Clúster de l’Energia Eficient de Catalunya (CEEC).
In this year’s edition, several researchers from the Thermal Energy and Building Performance department at IREC will participate in the course. Senior researcher Jordi Pascual has collaborated in the organization of the course, while Albert Gili and Enric Mont, both Project Engineers, will participate in the second and third sessions of the course. Enric Mont will talk about the indicators and tools to support the SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) and SECAPS (Pacte de les Alcaldies per a l’Energia i el Clima) instruments and Albert Gili will speak about the resilience of the electric network in climate change.
The course is oriented to technical personnel involved in the design and construction process of a building or the urban to regional building stock planning, and aims to advance the concepts that will soon be applied in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy in the building sector.
The first session of the course will be face-to-face, promoting networking among participants, and the three following sessions will be online, bringing the knowledge closer to all the technical staff who are interested. The course will be held mainly in Catalan.
To attend the course or any of the sessions, registration is required. You can register for any session of the Positive Energy Buildings (PEB) course using this link, where you will also find the detailed program of the course (take in mind that the program is not translated).
