Barcelona celebrated the second “Concurs de nanorelats” finale


A nano-stories contest (“concurs de nanorelats“) for high school students, from 3rd and 4th ESO and 1st and 2nd BTX was launched in the framework of the 10alamenos9 Festival of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology this 2021- the second edition of the contest. It was open to participants of the high schools in Catalunya, in a first stage. Later on, the winners will compete in an international phase.

The aim of the competition is to encourage interest at the nanoscale world, in the educational community, and to promote their creativity. In this first phase, 90 nano-stories from students in schools in Catalonia were submitted. The finale of the competition took place on Friday, April the 30th, at 6:30 pm via Zoom from Vil·la Urània. A CATEGORY:

  • Lorena Morar (3r ESO, Institut de Navarcles), title “Sujeto 122”.

B CATEGORY:

  • Michelle Salazar (1r BTX, Ins Lluís Companys), title “El nanoejército de la humanidad”

The two nano-story winners will play at the International phase.

The prizes include visits to research centers (ICMAB or ICN2), nano-T-shirts, nano-books, an entrance for the Annual Conference of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, or robotics/3D printing courses. The contest is organized by the organizations: UB (IN2UB), IREC, ICMAB-CSIC, SCN2, ICN2, Espai Jove Casa Sagnier and Vil·la Urània.
