IREC will participate in Saló de l’Ensenyament 2022 on Friday, March the 18th 2022. The Institute will be located in the Espaiciència stand, organized by the Fundació Catalana per la Recerca i la Innovació (FCRI). The stand will showcase several workshops with a continuous program of experiments from different Catalan research centers. Saló de l’Ensenyament brings science and technology closer to young people to encourages scientific interest towards STEM careers. The scientific outreach space will target youngsters aged 15 to 18.
The EspaiCiència offers an area for displaying various workshops that will allow the research entities to present their activities to young visitors. The scheduled activities are attractive to visitors to stimulate interest and curiosity in science. Scientific demonstrations, workshops and other interactive activities allow researchers to show and share their research with young students. This action is framed by the need to stimulate the interest of young people in science and technology in order to promote future vocations aimed at scientific and/or technological training.
In this year’s edition, IREC will showcase workshop on renewable energy and energy transition related to the “Gara and the energy that surrounds us” project. Gara is a scientific dissemination project aimed at the non-specialized public, which aims to improve the scientific-technical education of society on a topic as current as it is worrying, such as energy and the transition towards a more sustainable model for our planet. Gara will be displayed at EspaiCiencia on Friday, March the 18th, stand number D413 in Palau 1 – Fira de Montjuïc (Barcelona).
