The 25th Science Week is held in Catalonia from 14 to 29 November. IREC has participated in a scientific dissemination activity entitled “De camí a cap a la transició energètica” on November the 18th, 2020. Through a virtual workshop, the attendants learnt how energy will be managed in future cities. The aim was to understand what an energy manager and an aggregator of demand are. It was explained in a simple and understandable way to reach citizen’s future engagement in these technologies. The workshop was organized by Toni Cantero and Mattia Barbero, from IREC.
The activity was organized by IREC with the support of Vil·la Urània, a civic centre in the neighbourhood of Sarrià. The exceptional situation due to the COVID-19 pandemic means that the activity was held online. The civic centre offered their installation to broadcast the event via the Zoom platform, so that people could attend the activity from their homes.
