SUNRISE 18M Technical Meeting

On November 23rd and 24th, SUNRISE project partners met at IREC premises for the Technical Meeting after 18 months since the beginning of the project. This was the first meeting in-person in fact, all other meetings were previously organized online. The representatives of each partner were present to discuss the activities done in the first 18 months of the project and to plan the activities for the next months. A special session was held to talk about project key exploitable results and for the preliminary organization of the SUNRISE 1st Stakeholder workshop.

A visit to the IREC laboratories was made: during this visit, the sorting system that will analyse PVB coming from laminated glass was shown. Watch this video to better understand how the sorting system works.

SUNRISE is a H2020 funded project that stands for “MultiSensor sorting tools in a circular economy approach for the efficient recycling of PVB interlayer material in high-quality prodUcts from laminated glass coNstRuction and demolItion waStEs”. The consortium is formed by 20 European partners including L’urederra (leader), and the Solar Energy Materials and Systems group at IREC.
