The European Materials Research Society (E-MRS) Young Researcher Awards (YRA) are intended to honor and encourage graduate students whose academic achievements and current materials research display a high level of excellence and distinction. E-MRS seeks to recognize students of exceptional ability who show promise for significant future achievement in materials research.

Tandava, VSRK, a PhD student undertaking a research in the Energy Storage, Harvesting and Catalysis group at IREC, has received Young Researcher Awards (YRA). His research focuses on Advanced Catalyst Materials and Systems for Electro Conversion of CO2. The goal is to find novel catalyst materials deployed in advanced electrolyzes targeting the selectivity towards Ethylene and value added chemicals.

This award recognizes the outstanding oral presentation entitled “Exploring the Advanced Tailor-made Catalyst materials and Systems for the Up-scaled Electroconversion of CO2” presented in the frame of Symposium I,  Sustainable approaches for renewable energy conversion to fuels and chemicals” at the E-MRS Spring Meeting 2022.

The awards are presented at the online closing & awards ceremony on Friday June 3rd. The prize consists of a cash prize accompanied with a diploma. More information at: https://www.european-mrs.com/meetings/2022-spring/young-researcher-awards
