The main objective of ACT-FAST is to develop the first high efficiency fully thin film tandem solar cells. Cells will be based on emerging earth abundant antimony chalcogenides, using novel and low-cost techniques, low environmental impact materials and scalable depositions processes. This will yield a technology compatible with future upscaling for mass deployment. The project aims to exploit the key benefits of antimony chalcogenides:
- low fabrication temperatures
- high stability
- low environmental impact
- low carbon footprint
- high versatility, to deliver on the vast potential for novel high efficiency TF tandem devices
Partners
ACT-FAST brings together top research groups from Tallinn University of Technology, University of Liverpool , UPC, IREC, and Università degli Studi di Verona. The consortium has a strong support from the involvement of industrial partners in Advisory Board (AB) and directly supporting the R&D activities in the project.
