Gianfranco Sábato from the Nanoionics and Fuel Cells group, receives a Ramon y Cajal fellowship (RyC 2021), whose contract begins on January 2023 with a research line entitled “Next generation solid state devices”, in the energy and transport thematic area (young researchers’ category). The main research line is based on the development of next generation solid state devices: All Solid State Lithium Batteries as well as Solid Oxide Cells, through the investigation and development of three synergic interconnected approaches: 3D printing of advanced ceramics, innovative sintering techniques and engineering of advanced critical interfaces.

The purpose of these fellowships is to promote the incorporation of research personnel, from Spain or abroad, with an outstanding track record, in Spanish R&D centers, to acquire the skills and abilities to obtain a stable position in a research body of the Spanish System of Science, Technology and Innovation.

The selection is based on a rigorous process of competitive concurrence based on their curricular merits and based on their ability to lead a line of research, on scientific and professional experience, as well as the independence of their career.

The duration of the fellowship is 5 years.
