IREC’s Corporate Development, Knowledge and Technology Transfer (KTT) unit plays an instrumental role in bringing our research outputs closer to the market and society. As well as providing key support to IREC’s research groups in competitive programmes, the unit is also responsible for fostering strong relationships with industry, managing and valorising IREC’s research results and IP portfolio, managing the Institute’s transversal strategic projects, and coordinating its institutional representation.
IREC’s mission is to contribute to the sustainable development of society through innovation, technological development and research. In this regard, one of the goals of our research activities and projects is to generate industrial and intellectual property leading to patents, licensing opportunities and spin-off creation.
