An IREC researcher gets a FI-STEP grant from AGAUR in 2025
The Catalan Agency for Management of University and Research Grants (AGAUR) has awarded grants for the recruitment of predoctoral research staff within the STEP technology areas (FI-STEP) to researchers at IREC. These grants are aimed at supporting the hiring of predoctoral researchers to carry out their doctoral theses in the fields included in the Strategic Technologies for Europe Platform (STEP). The program funds each recipient for a duration of three years.
The FI-STEP fellowships are intended for individuals pursuing a PhD at a Catalan university, reinforcing IREC’s ongoing commitment to cutting-edge energy research and the training of new scientific talent within the region.
Antoni Bosch Pons, belonging to the Energy Systems Analytics Department at the institute, will develop a PhD thesis entitled “Management of smart and bidirectional electric vehicles to enhance energy flexibility under uncertainty”. Antoni holds a Bachelor’s degree in Energy Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) and will participate in the Doctoral Program in Statistics and Operations Research at UPC for the 2025/2026 academic year. He will be supervised by Gabriela Benveniste.
