IREC joins to the call of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the United Nations body to evaluate science related to climate change, in recognition of the work of the IPCC, where it was published to reduce the global emissions by around 45% on 2010 levels by 2030 and establish net zero emissions by 2050 to preserve the global temperature increase to 1.5ºC with respect to the preindustrial era.

On the occasion of this declaration, IREC announces that actions will be taken within the research institute that contribute, within its scope, to the reduction of the mentioned emissions for the improvement of society and the environment.
