7th edition of Barcelona Science Slam

BCN Science Slam, an initiative of the CRG, is a science communication contest that gives young scientists in and around Barcelona a stage to present their research to a lay audience. The Barcelona Science Slam encourages PhD students and postdoctoral researchers to participate, which provides an exciting opportunity to learn about a broad range of scientific fields and to bring their research closer to the public.

Into the Science Slam the 8 scientists will explain their research projects in 5 minutes entertainingt alks easy to follow. Afterwards the audience will be able to vote.

Thibault Pen, researcher of the Thermal Energy and Building Performance group of IREC will participates in the 7th edition of Barcelona Science Slam.

The winner will have the opportunity to present its work at the ESOF conference in Trieste in July 2020. There is an open call for researchers to apply (deadline: 18th of February).
